WHAT IS NIFT SITUATION TEST ?

NIFT Situation Test Exam gets conducted usually between April End Week to May first Week every year. Only those candidates who gets shortlisted after first round of NIFT Entrance exam can Appear for NIFT SITUATION TEST.

Situation Test exam is the way to evaluate candidates’ creative skill, material manipulation skill, design thinking skill. Students are provided with different materials to execute it in a 3D Model. It plays a Vital role in Final Rank as it has weightage of 20% in overall marking scheme.

Phase 1: Getting Started (Days 1-5) The initial phase is about understanding the test format and gathering resources

Days 1-2:

1. Study the Test Pattern: Review previous years’ Situation Test models and instructions.
2. Gather Materials: Collect a variety of materials such as paper, fabric, wire, clay, and other craft supplies.
3. Set Up a Workspace: Designate a clutter-free area for your practice sessions.

Days 3-5:

1. Familiarize Yourself with Materials: Spend time understanding the properties and possibilities of different materials.
2. Basic Craft Techniques: Learn and practice basic cutting, folding, and joining techniques.

3. Time Management: Time your practice sessions to ensure you can complete models within the given timeframe.

Phase 3: Advanced Practice and Mock Tests (Days 21-30) :

2. Theme-Based Models: Create models based on specific themes to develop your adaptability.

Mock Situation Tests (Days 26-30):
